Default form

Adding Availability

Tapping + on the Schedule screen opens this form. It's a two-step form: step 1 is where and what you can work, step 2 is which shift and which days — and you pick those days by tapping individual dates on a calendar. If the same weekdays repeat for weeks at a time, switch to the date range form.

  1. 1

    Choose a facility

Tap the Facility dropdown and pick where you're available to work. This field is required — Next won't move you on until it's set.

  2. 2

    Confirm title & specialty

Both come straight from your profile. Title is the one on your record, and Specialty lists every specialty you're assigned to — pick the one this availability is for.

  3. 3

    Tap Next

Move on to the scheduling step. The progress bar at the top shows you're on step 1 of 2.

  1. 4

    Pick your shift

Tap AM or PM — one at a time. The selected shift turns teal; tapping it again clears it, and tapping a different one switches to it. Every date you pick below applies to that shift, so add a second batch if you're available for another shift too. Your organization decides which shifts it runs, so you may see fewer options or different names.

  2. 5

    Tap the dates you're available

Tap any date on the calendar to select it; tap it again to remove it. The dates don't have to be next to each other, and they don't have to be in the same month — your picks are kept as you move around.

Two months are on screen at once. The arrows shift the pair by one month, so you always keep a month of overlap. They stop at the edges of what you're allowed to pick — up to 3 months ahead, and nothing older than yesterday — and the arrow greys out when there's nowhere further to go.

A small dot under a date means you already have availability there for the shift you picked at this facility. Picking it again is harmless — Atlas just skips it on save.

  3. 6

Check the list of picked dates

Everything you've selected shows as a chip under the calendar, with a running count in the label. Tap a chip's × to drop that date, or Clear all to start over.

  4. 7

    Tap Save

Atlas creates one availability slot per date for the shift you picked, then drops you back on the schedule. Dates that already have availability for that shift — the dotted ones — are skipped, so nothing is duplicated; if every date you picked already exists you'll stay on the form with a note saying so. Your new slots appear on the schedule as grey dots.

  5. 8

    Need a repeating pattern instead?

Tap Add availability by date range instead to switch to the range form, where you pick weekdays and a start/end date. The facility, title, and specialty you already chose carry over, and you land on the same step you were on.

Which form should you use? This one is the default, and it's the right choice when your availability is irregular — a few odd days here and there. Switch to the date range form when the same weekdays repeat for weeks at a time, so you don't have to tap every single date.
